Holy God of Advent,
You've been sending messengers to us for all time.
We listen but do not hear.
May this Advent be different, Lord.
In the midst of all the hurtful, hateful and angry voices,
may your voice come to us more powerfully than ever.
May we hear the winsome angel say, 'fear not,' and
each one of us add our voice until the message of peace is
deafening and only love will be heard.
