Refugees

We do not require overseas police checks for asylum seekers and refugees wishing to volunteer in a congregation.

The applicant should be recruited, and we would advise that the recruitment process is bolstered with robust references.

If the applicant's role includes regulated work with children and/or protected adults, they should join the PVG Scheme through the Church of Scotland and complete the SG03 Self-Disclosure Form.

A Basic Disclosure can also be applied for.
