Why are we collecting it and what are we doing with it (Purpose)?
The Church of Scotland Faith Impact Forum: Society, Religion and Technology are holding an event to discuss the Opportunities and Challenges for the Church in relation to Artificial Intelligence. The data is collected for administrative purpose for the organisation and running of the event.
Your Personal Data
The only personal data that is collected is your name and email address.
The lawful basis for processing
The lawful basis for this purpose is UK GDPR 6(1)(a) "the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes"
Who we share your personal data with
We do not share your data with any other organisation. Your data will be shared with Zoom for the running of the event. We have appropriate documentation with Zoom and assurances that they comply with data protection laws and all Church of Scotland data held on Zoom servers are based within Germany.
Details of data transfers to any third countries or international organisations
Zoom stores any Church data on their German servers so there is not data transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
How long do we hold the personal data?
Your personal data will be deleted from our records immediately after the event.
Individuals' rights in relation to this processing
Individuals have a number of rights under data protection laws. These are detailed in the Church of Scotland Privacy Centre your rights and choices. Not all rights are absolute and some only apply in relation to the lawful basis for processing. For this purpose, the only right that does not apply is the Right to Object. All other rights apply.
