Neil Campbell

Neil Campbell

Neil was born in Carlisle in 1987. A ‘son of the manse’, Neil spent time living in the Borders before moving to Cumbernauld where he was educated at Abronhill High School (of cult classic Gregory’s Girl fame). Neil left school when his family moved to Daviot, Inverness and spent a year working for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young before going onto St Andrew’s University to read Theology at St Mary’s College in 2004.

While at St Andrews, Neil became involved with the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity developing community outreach and youth work and was ordained an Elder in 2007. After graduating in 2008, Neil spent a year working for HMRC before taking up a brief post as Centre Director of Highlands & Islands Youth for Christ.

In 2009 Neil was appointed as Youth & Young Adult Development Worker with Dundee: Craigiebank linked with Douglas & Mid Craigie Parish Church of Scotland, a large Urban Priority Area parish in Dundee’s East End. Through this work Neil established the charity RockSolid Dundee of which he is Director (Vice Chair). Neil also serves on a number of other local charity boards.

Married to Roxanne and father to Isabella (6 going on 16), together they enjoy getting out in the countryside, visiting family and travelling abroad.
