Borthwick Parish Church is a B-listed building located within a rural location close to Borthwick Castle approximately 15 miles to the south of Edinburgh city centre.

The church, which has an older south transcript, dating from the 12th century, was generally constructed around 1860 is a single storey stone built property under a mixture of pitched and slated or pitched and stone slabbed roofs including spire/tower.

Gorebridge is a small town approximately 10 miles South of Edinburgh city centre. There is a good selection of local amenities along the main street, including a supermarket store, a variety of leisure and recreational facilities and two primary schools. There are excellent road links to the city bypass which in turn gives access to all major motorway networks. The border rail link connects the city and Borders.
