Church Hymnary Resources

A series of five CDs, each giving examples of hymns and songs from one of the five sections of the new book, is in preparation. Shout for Joy has now been published.

Hymns from CH4

Shout for Joy and A taste of Church Hymnary are just two of a series of CDs which contain items from different sections of the Church Hymnary: Fourth Edition. Copies of CDs in the series are £5 each, not including postage and packing. Discounts may be available for bulk orders.
Shout for Joy explores the Holy Spirit section of CH4, which includes hymns and songs about the spirit, the Church, the sacraments, ordination, family, friendship, marriage, national life, healing, death, and grieving, concluding with a celebration of the saints. Shout for Joy cd cover
Performed by the choir of St Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall, St Magnus Festival Chorus and the Orkney Junior County Choir.

Shout for Joy includes:

A new magazine Different Voices is a new quarterly, which will have within it, in addition to background articles and features, centre music pages of instrumental parts, organ arrangements and descants, is planned for August. The first issue will be widely distributed free of charge with an invitation to subscribe.
