Malawi visit to Glasgow, June 2006
From Friday 2 to Wednesday 21 June a group of six people
from Baula in northern Malawi - none of whom has ever
travelled outside Malawi before - visits Ruchazie in Glasgow
as part of the Together for a Change project.
The Malawian group will stay with families in Ruchazie
and through sharing insights about life in both communities
and visiting local groups in Ruchazie (including youth
clubs, pensioners’ groups, schools, housing organisations,
churches, and community groups), as well as visits to
the Scottish Parliament, Glasgow City Council and more,
will make the human connections, find the shared issues
and the opportunities for change and share their insights,
dreams and challenges with people in Ruchazie, Baula and
beyond.
