Together for a Change
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
Background
Together for a Change is a three year project which was
launched in April 2003. There are three stages to the
project development:
Stage one
To identify the communities to be involved and build on
existing partnerships. For information on the latest news
Stage two
To assist local people in the gathering of information
about their community through interviews, fun days, storytelling
and creative art work.
Stage three
A series of exchange encounters between representatives
from each of the four communities and focused enquiry
around the issues raised in stage two.
Then, through the Guild,
to challenge the Church and the rest of Scotland to recognise
that poverty is an issue, both in Scotland and internationally,
that we have to deal with.

Project management
A project management group was established and made up
of representatives from all the participating communities;
the former boards of National and World Mission; Scottish
Churches World Exchange; the Guild, and as things developed,
other partnership organisations working for the poor in
Scotland.
Session workers have also been appointed part-time to
work locally in the different communities.
