In May 2015 the Church of Scotland General Assembly received a report on Common Wealth? Sharing through tax and giving.

It explores some of the issues and ideas about wealth creation and redistribution which are current in Scottish societal and political debate. The General Assembly agreed to commend the report to local congregations for study and action.

Common Wealth builds on the work of our landmark 2012 report A Right Relationship With Money - a report of a Special Commission on the Purposes of Economic Activity, which set out four priorities for economic life: reducing inequality, ending poverty, ensuring sustainability and promoting mutuality.
