Harvest is a time to reflect on and give thanks for all that we have. It is also a time to think about ways in which we can stand together with those who are going hungry. This resource will enable congregations to engage with our partners in South Sudan.
Harvest 2017: Good Neighbours
The 2017 Harvest Materials are based on the Bible Passages of 1 Kings 17.8-16 and Matthew 19.16-30, and highlight the contrast between the refugee status of Elijah and the Rich Young Ruler. Reflecting on these stories at harvest time tells us that even those who appear to have next to nothing have something to share.
The materials are there for you to ‘pick and mix’, enabling you to put a full service together. You may wish to only use part of the materials, or develop your own service and give the offering to our Partner Church in South Sudan. Either way is great!
Please feel free to share any resources you may develop with us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
