“You’ll go places you never knew you’d go and do things you never thought you could”
Rev Michael Mair of St David's Broomhouse Parish in Edinburgh talks about his chaplaincy at the Royal Blind School in Edinburgh and the unexpected nature of a life in ministry.
“I’m Chaplain at the Royal Blind School in Edinburgh so it’s part of my role to be a Christian presence in the school and help lead the assemblies. Every time it inspires me and reminds me that people have so much more than what you just see at face value.
“Ministry brings you into contact with people who are going through things that you night never be able to understand or comprehend or some things that you’ve maybe been through yourself.
“You will go places you never knew you would go, you will do things you never thought you could, you will find yourself in situations you don’t know how you’re ever going to get through it and yet, you will and there will be amazing stories to tell at the end.”
