In Focus
The lies we tell ourselves: ending comfortable myths about poverty, an interesting report from the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church, the Church of Scotland and the United Reformed Church lays bare six myths about the poor which enable the majority to live with the comfortable assumption that both poverty and wealth are deserved. Programmes 2013
This year’s events programme includes the Priority Areas Picnic, Worship evenings and the annual retreat for those who work in Priority Areas. Also this year there will be an event in February called ‘Doing Everything We Can: Young People & Families’ and a Priority Areas worship day retreat for congregation members in April. The GKExperience will again be running residentials for young people from different Priority Area Parishes to meet together.

Events
Ministries retreat
This is a chance for those who work in priority areas to take time out and spend time with God at our annual overnight retreat led by David and Maggie Lunan. To book a place, please contact the Priority Areas Office.

- Cost: £15 per person
