Application for employment: guidelines
The application form provides separate sections in which
to complete your personal details, education and training,
employment history and relevant skills and experience.
Please ensure that all relevant sections of the application
and equal opportunities form are completed in full.
Applications will only
be accepted on Church of Scotland, Central Services
Committee application forms (available below). Please
note that CVs will not be accepted and should therefore
not be submitted. Completed forms must be submitted
on or before the closing date indicated on each vacancy.
If you are unable to complete all of your
information in the space provided, you should attach
separate sheets. Please do not submit more than two
sheets of A4 paper for this purpose.
If you would like acknowledgement that
your application form has been received, please enclose
a stamped and addressed postcard with your application.
We are unable to apply for work permits
until all EEA options have been eliminated. It is unlawful
to employ a person aged 16 or over who does not have
permission to live and work in the UK. We will not be
able to engage you if you cannot produce, when requested,
evidence of your availability to work in the UK. Such
evidence includes documents which contain your National
Insurance Number; a passport which states that you have
a right of abode; or other travel documents endorsed
to show that you have current leave to enter or remain
in the UK and that you are not precluded from taking
employment; or a Home Office letter stating this.
