Rt Rev Dr Russell Barr was the guest speaker at St Mary's Episcoal cathedral in Edinburgh on 21 August. His sermon on Art and Faith discussed The Last Supper, painted by St George's Tron artist in residence Iain Campbell. The painting was brought from Glasgow specially to ilustrate the sermon.

Ayr MSP John Scott has lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament praising Ayr St Columba’s Church of Scotland for its work feeding disadvantaged children over the summer, which he calls “modern church work at its best.”
