Published on 15 January, 2016
The first of three 2016 Community of Faith Conferences is now sold out. With 100 people already registered there are no remaining spaces at the Glasgow conference. The theme of this year's conference series is Ministry with children and young people, especially in Churches with few children.
Book now to reserve a space at one of the remaining two conferences:
Glasgow on Saturday 13th February (Fully Booked)
Keynote speaker at the conference will be Suzi Farrant, the Church of Scotland's Young People and Young Adults' Development Worker. Each day will also include workshops and opportunities for people to share their own church experiences with children and young people. Lunch will be provided. The theme for the 2016 events will be 'For churches with few or no children'.
Workshops will include:
Exploring spiritual styles: How might children and young people engage with God?
Opening the Bible: Going beyond Noah's Ark
Prayer Spaces in Schools
Religious Observance: How can we approach schools and what should we do?
Building Community and relationships with children and young people
The first Community of Faith Conference was held in February 2015 as a national weekend event themed on the 'Family of God.' To allow more people to attend, the 2016 conference was planned as a one-day event to be held in three places across the country.
You can book online at the links above until 2 weeks before the events or until they have reached maximum capacity. You can find out more, download the flyer or make your online booking here.
