The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland was promoted to the role of ‘handbell number four’ in an open session of the Big Noise Music group this week.
The Right Reverend Lorna Hood took part in the activity when touring the Raploch campus, meeting with the teachers and children at the Castleview Primary, Our Lady’s and Raploch Primary schools there.
She said of the experience: “I thoroughly enjoyed my time with all of the fantastic pupils at the campus who kept me on the 'right beat'. There was some wonderful music being played, even with me involved!"
Mrs Hood has been on a week-long tour of the Presbytery of Stirling. There are 44 presbyteries in Scotland and each year the Moderator visits four of these before the General Assembly sits in May.
