CrossReach to brief MSPs on future plans

MSPs are to be given the chance to hear about the future plans of CrossReach, one of Scotland's largest social care agencies. CrossReach - the Church of Scotland's Social Care Council - will hold a briefing meeting for MSPs at Holyrood on Thursday 17th April at 1pm in Committee Room 1, complemented by an interactive display in the Parliament building.

Cabinet Secretary for Justice, Kenny MacAskill, will welcome guests to the event on behalf of the Parliament, before CrossReach's Chief Executive Alan Staff speaks on 'Energising Scotland for the Future'. He will focus on 4 main themes - Reaching Communities, Reaching Individuals, Crossing Generations and Crossing Thresholds.

Speaking about the briefing, Alan Staff said: "At CrossReach we are committed to bringing new ideas and innovation to the social care sector. One important aspect of that is to work in partnership with the Scottish Government and this briefing is a great opportunity to interact with MSPs and also inform them about our plans for the future."

Ends.
