WORKING TOGETHER IN FAITH

Together ecumenically

Ecumenism is about Christians around the world working together locally, nationally and internationally as part of a global Christian movement.

The Church of Scotland is committed to developing and strengthening its ecumenical relations around the world and it does this through the work of its Ecumenical Relations Committee. Click here to read more about the work of this committee and its membership in a range of international ecumenical partnerships.

The World Mission Council also works very closely with its partner churches around the world. This close connection is seen most apparent during situation of crisis, such as the Boxing Day 2004 tsunami and Asia earthquake of 2005. Click here to find out more about the World Mission Council's partnership work around the globe.

Interfaith

The Church also enjoys open dialogue with leaders of other Christian churches and from other faiths.
Meetings between faith leaders are not a new thing in Scotland but such gatherings are increasingly important to encourage understanding and friendship between different religious organisations.
