Vacant positions

INTRODUCTION

On the following pages you will find a host of information about vacant positions within the ministries of the Church of Scotland. This includes:

  • the current list of vacant charges;
  • a list of openings for associate ministers;
  • a list of other Ministries posts.

From January 2010, associate minister posts and other Ministries Council posts will be listed at:

http://ministriespostscofscotland.org.uk/ .
(This link will take you outside the Church of Scotland website.)

In addition to these lists, you will also find other information relating to applications for vacant charges:

  • a guide to the role of interim moderators;
  • advice for nominating committees;
  • details on how to advertise your vacant charge.

For further information on how to go about the appointment of an associate minister or other ministries posts, please contact the Ministries Council.

Please note that you must already be a minister of Word and Sacrament or a graduate candidate to answer a call to a vacant charge or an associate ministry post.
