An invaluable and comprehensive guide to the role of session
clerk is provided by respected church law lecturer the Rev A.
Gordon McGillivray, who has also written the essential An
introduction to Practice and Procedure in the Church of Scotland

Salary scales for organist
The revised form of contract for the employment of an organist
now available from the Law Department leaves the figures for
the salary scale blank. To download a copy of the contract please

here. From time to time, the Scottish Federation of Organists
offers a recommended salary scale which the committee is pleased
to endorse.
