Convener's biography:
Alan is minister at Kintore in the Presbytery of Gordon. A former Mission Partner in Zambia, he has served as a member, Vice-Convener and Convener of the former Board of World Mission. He was then Convener of the World Mission Council in its first year following the restructuring of the central administration. He became Vice-Convener of the Council of Assembly in 2007 and its Convener in 2008. He is married to Ruth, and has two grown-up sons.
