LINKING WORLDWIDE: THE AMERICAS

Situation overview

The Church of Scotland has been involved in the Caribbean area for more than 200 years. World Mission's most active partnership is with the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, but there are also deepening relationships with the Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago and the Presbyterian and Reformed Church in Cuba.

On several islands there are lively Church of Scotland congregations. In Central and South America relationships with councils of churches and key institutions guide the board's involvement. Long-established links with North American churches offer possibilities for collaborative initiatives in mission.
