Newsletter
The Safeguarding Office provides a newsletter
containing latest updates from the team.

This issue contains two enclosures: a flyer which contains important information for all Safeguarding Coordinators regarding their role as counter-signatories, and a copy of the new updated multiple coversheet which reflects these changes.

Events
The Safeguarding Office helps raise awareness about child protection issues and hosts a range of events throughout the year. In addition, the unit highlights the latest news and updates to child protection legislation in Scotland and the UK. The calendars for these events are available on the Extranent page.
Safeguarding Trainers' Forum
A forum of child protection trainers exists to discuss
training needs, issues, ideas and suggestions. Formerly
run as regular meetings, it was found that very few trainers
could physically attend and in consequence the forum's
function has been transferred to the Trainers' online
discussion area on our extranet site.
Volunteer workers' training calendars
The Safeguarding Office also provides training for child
protection co-ordinators.
As all training meetings and events are open only
to Church of Scotland staff, office bearers and those
in the ministries, please visit our the Support and

these guides.
