REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Overview
The Regional Development Team of the Mission and Discipleship
Council is at the heart of the council's strategy.
There are eight regional development officers based in
Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Perth who act as the
first point of contact with our local congregations. They
work collaboratively with the council and its associate
secretaries. Together they are responsible for supporting
the council in the development and delivery of resources
for congregations in education and nurture, mission and
evangelism, worship and doctrine, publishing and church
art and architecture.
Introducing the team
Each regional development officer has a twin responsibility
– firstly to be the first point of contact for
congregations in a number of presbyteries; and secondly
to take forward a specific area of the council’s
work.
