Housing and Loan Fund

RESOURCES
The application process
Ministers making application within five years of retirement,
upon their application being approved, will be given a
fairly firm commitment that either a house will be made
available for renting or a house purchase loan will be
offered. Only within nine months of a minister's intended
retiral date will the trustees initiate steps to find
a suitable house or only within one year of that date
will a loan be advanced.
It is helpful to have initial applications submitted
about 10 years prior to retirement when a minister may
be given, without any commitment, a place on the preliminary
application list. Enquiries and applications are dealt
with in the strictest confidence.
Donations and legacies over the years have been significant
in building up this Housing and Loan Fund and the backbone
has been provided by congregational contributions.
