The Ecumenical Relations committee
is made up of 18 members, of whom five are nominated
by the General Assembly and who are each a member
of one of the councils of the Church. The convener
is the Rev William Brown. |
| There are also five
co-opted members who have been elected to central/executive
committees of ecumenical bodies. The Very Rev Dr Sheilagh Kesting is the Church of Scotland ecumenical officer. |

In addition, there are six other members who include
the general secretary of Action of Churches Together
in Scotland (ACTS), a representative from the Roman
Catholic Church in Scotland and a representative from the
United Free Church of Scotland. The three additional members
are nominated on a rotating basis from:
- the Congregational Federation
- the Scottish Episcopal Church
- the Synod of the Methodist Church in Scotland
- the Salvation Army
- the Religious Society of Friends
- the United Reformed Church
- and the Baptist Union of Scotland
