Bible Cartoons on TV

Friends and Heroes is an animated action adventure series for children 4-12 which includes Bible Stories in every episode. It was broadcast on BBC2 recently and is an excellent RE resource which many will find helpful in their schools' work. We will let you know when future series are to be broadcast. Competition for schools

Your school is invited to enter a competition to win the Stevenson Prize which has been established to encourage excellence within the fields of Religious Observance and Religious Education. The competition is for work by pupils and a prize of £500 will be awarded to one Primary and one Secondary school.

Religious Observance (RO) will be the theme for the 2010-2011 award. In the Religious Observance Circular 1/2005, RO is defined as 'community acts which aim to promote the spiritual development of all members of the school community and express and celebrate the shared values of the school communiuty'. Follow this link to read the Circular: www.ltscotland.org.uk
