Act to end slavery

The 200th anniversary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act (1807 to 2007) has concentrated attention on the history of slavery and the Atlantic trade.
However, millions of men, women and children around the world are still forced to lead lives as slaves. Women from eastern Europe are bonded into prostitution, children are trafficked between West African countries and men are forced to work as slaves on Brazilian agricultural estates. Contemporary slavery takes various forms and affects people of all ages, sex and race.

A pack to help you understand more about and respond to Human Trafficking is available on the resource page by clicking here: Human Trafficking Resource Pack

Scottish Churches Racial Justice Group

This group was set up to help churches in Scotland work together for racial justice. It is an Associated Ecumenical Group of Action of Churches Together in Scotland.
SCRJG aims to assist churches in Scotland to grow in awareness of the nature and extent of racial injustice in Scotland and work on their behalf to develop and to promote an understanding of the biblical and theological basis of the rejection of this injustice.
Find out more about the work of this group by following this link to their website: www.racialjusticescotland.org.uk
