CHURCH OFFICES

The Church of Scotland's work is not confined to its offices, churches and buildings. Our work and mission takes place across the country and throughout the world in a range of communities and locations. The Church offices at 121 George Street, Edinburgh, provide a venue where the majority of the central administration functions and meetings of the Church are carried out. The historic listed building houses around 200 members of staff who carry out the central work of the Church's councils, committees and departments, other than the Social Care Council (CrossReach).

The Social Care Council, known as CrossReach, employs more than 2,000 staff in 80 services stretching from Shetland to the Borders. CrossReach's care and support services help thousands of people in need every day of the year. More than 70 staff are based there.

Regional offices

The Church also operates three local area offices outwith Edinburgh. The Mission and Discipleship Council's Regional Development Team has eight regional development officers based in Glasgow, Inverness and Perth who act as the first point of contact with our local congregations. The Glasgow office is also home to officers of the Ministries Council.
