SUPPORTED PROJECTS: COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND DEVELOPMENT
Working in the shopping centre, Leith
In Leith, this is an inter-church project in one of the largest shopping centres in Edinburgh. 


"Leith churches are able to work together in reaching out as Christians to the wider community and to show to many who would never come into a church building something of the breadth and love involved in our faith. We encounter people from a broad spectrum of society we have started a counselling/listening service. 

Working in  Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre in Leith
At the time of the Iraq war we organised an inter-faith event as part of the not in our name campaign. We see the project reaching out from the churches to the community - not only that part of the community that comes into the terminal, but through events to wider Leith. There are many community groups and this project has the potential to link up fruitfully with them, showing the churches' concern for the whole community.
