Church without Walls KELTY CHURCH OF SCOTLAND (KELTY KIRK) Living with the Gospel of Luke Church without Walls is a report we have been encouraged to think about as a kirk session. We made funds available for our minister to attend the three-day conference at Gartmore House in February 2002 and monthly meetings in Perth during 2001 to 2002. The most direct thing we have done is study Luke's Gospel as a congregation from June 2001 to June 2002. A reading plan was drawn up, everyone was encouraged to read the passage before worship and engage with it during the sermon. The children's Sunday Christian education was also based around the same themes. In other ways the report has helped in confirming that we seem to be doing the right thing in taking the risks and trying to be a new church in our new age. Church without Walls needs to be referred to on a regular basis though. Much of what it inspires and encourages is not going to happen over night. The report will require to be looked at and studied, in parts, again and again and again. We hope we will continue to do this.
