The challenges Presbyteries face and their role in
the Church without Walls process are different to those
of congregations, not just the same issues on a larger
scale. The local, regional and central church are not
a hierarchy or in competition, but have different roles
which complement each other.
"How
can Presbytery be a fellowship of Christian leaders
sharing a vision for the Kingdom within a given
part of Scotland? In what way can presbytery function
as a Gospel community?"
Church without Walls 2001
The following downloads do not spell out a future for
Presbyteries, because like all of Church without Walls,
change will come when you experiment and take risks,
not when you follow a defined programme. However, they
do aim to offer some pointers to get you started. These
are available to download in Word [.doc], rich text
[.rtf] and text only [.txt] formats.
Starter paper
The following starter paper was written by the Rev Peter
Neilson, who convened the commission which produced Church
without Walls.
