March/April 2013

Details of official engagements and visits to be undertaken by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Right Reverend Albert Bogle during March and April are:

2 – 11 March

Visit to Presbytery of Kincardine and Deeside, with a varied programme of engagements in the community, schools and churches.

13 March

Attending the Joint Commission on Doctrine’s Day Conference on the Year of Faith.

14 March

Guest speaker at Edinburgh Rotary.

16 March

Speaker at Opening Session, George Watson’s College Model UN Conference – 600 delegates.

Attending ‘Different Voices’ – Mission and Discipleship’s National Music Event.

17 March

Attending lunch at David Livingstone Centre, followed by preaching at Blantyre Livingstone Memorial Parish Church –  to be attended by Her Excellency Mrs Joyce Banda, President of Malawi.

18 March

Dinner at Edinburgh Castle in honour of President Banda’s visit.

19 March

Taking part in commemorative service in Westminster Abbey for bicentenary of David Livingstone’s birth; wreath laying ceremony.

21 March

Canterbury Cathedral – attending enthronement of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

22 March – 4 April

Moderator and Mrs Bogle travel to Zambia and South Africa, engaging with our partner Churches there.

14 April

Preaching at Fairmilehead Parish Church – 75th anniversary.

19 April

Ministries Council consultation.

20 – 29 April

Visit to Presbytery of Ardrossan.
