The Moderator's diary
During their year in office, the Moderator visits four Church of Scotland Presbyteries, travels to partner churches overseas, represents the Church of Scotland on historic and national occasions, supports the work of Councils, Committees, congregations and organisations, and meets with interfaith and ecumenical bodies.
Below are details of the engagements in the modertorial diary this month.
The Moderator will lead Pause for Reflection at the City of Edinburgh Council meeting in the City Chambers.
The Moderator will be the Reviewing Officer at the Royal 21 Gun Salute to mark the arrival of Her Majesty the Queen in Edinburgh for Holyrood Week.
The Moderator will attend an event to mark the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Scottish Parliament.
The Moderator will meet with the President and Scottish Development Manager of Open Doors UK & Ireland.
The Moderator, his wife and youngest daughter will be guests at Her Majesty's Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
8 – 10 July
The Moderator and his wife will attend the Presbyterian Church of Wales General Assembly in Wrexham. On the Tuesday, the Moderator is invited to speak about the Church of Scotland’s investment in reaching under 40s.
The Moderator and his wife will visit the Boys’ Brigade King George VI Youth Leadership new entrants training course at Carronvale House in Larbert, meeting with officer cadets and staff.
The Moderator will meet with the Chairman and Secretary of the General Trustees, to discuss the Land & Buildings Plan Consultation paper approved by the 2019 General Assembly.
