INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the faith and worship pages of the Church
of Scotland. In this section we aim to provide an overview
to the very heart of the Church - its beliefs, faith,
worship and how you can be a part of it.
| Central to the Church
of Scotland is our love and worship of God through
following the teachings and examples of Jesus Christ.
In our central faith section you can find out more
about the foundations of our faith, an introduction
to Jesus Christ, a guide to how we worship, what
to expect when you attend a Church of Scotland service
and how to become a member. |
 |
Advice on how to find a local Church of Scotland church
near you is also included. Click
here to visit our faith pages.
Worship within the Church of Scotland is for everybody,
regardless of age, nationality, status or ability. Patterns
of worship vary from church to church and this generally
means that people can find a place of worship where they
feel comfortable. Visit our central Worship on the Web
pages for more worship material such as today's prayer
from our annual Pray Now publication,
suggested Starters for Sundays resources, a guide to worship
for a range of life events in the Church such as Baptisms,
child blessings, marriages and funerals, and a full guide
to the festivals and events in the Christian calendar
that we celebrate, and why.
