LEGAL QUESTIONS COMMITTEE

Introduction

The Legal Questions Committee advises the General Assembly on questions of Church law and of constitutional law affecting the relationship between church and state. It also advises and assists the agencies of the General Assembly in preparing proposed legislation and on questions of interpretation, including interpretation of and proposed changes to remits.

The committee is also responsible for compiling the statistics of the Church, except youth and finance, and to supervise on behalf of the Assembly all arrangements for the care of Church records and for presbytery visits.

Minutes from this committee are currently not available online.
