LEGAL QUESTIONS COMMITTEE
Introduction
The Legal Questions Committee advises the General Assembly on
questions of Church law and of constitutional law affecting
the relationship between church and state. It also advises and
assists the agencies of the General Assembly in preparing proposed
legislation and on questions of interpretation, including interpretation
of and proposed changes to remits.
The committee is also responsible for compiling the statistics
of the Church, except youth and finance, and to supervise
on behalf of the Assembly all arrangements for the care of
Church records and for presbytery visits.
