Emergency appeals
The Church and its members reponds to national and international
appeals and disasters as they arise.
 |
In the past, we have supported the
fundraising work of Christian Aid, the Church's
relief wing, in the aftermath of the Asia tsunami
disaster in 2004 where hundreds of thousands of
people perished when an underwater earthquake triggered
a massive tsunami on Boxing Day. |
| The Church was also heavily
involved in the emergency relief effort in South
Asia following the terrible earthquake which hit
the region in October 2005 where hundreds of thousands
were killed. With living conditions appalling, fundraising
helped the survivors to start to rebuild their lives. |
 |
Information about emergency fundraising will appear
on these pages when necessary.
